iTunes description of Siri’s new sister ‘Evi’ goes something like this, Evi is the revolutionary artificial intelligence here to help with all of your everyday information needs. Unlike a search engine, which simply looks for matching words and shows you a list of websites, Evi understands what you want to know and gives back exactly what you’re after. Need to know where the nearest bank is? Not a problem. Going out for dinner but can’t decide where? She can help with that too. The more you ask, the more she will learn, and thus she is improving all the time. Life is simpler with Evi.

This ambitious blogger dived right in and downloaded the app from FileFactory, (costs $0.99 in iTunes), installed on my iPhone 3gs (I Know, but you would not believe the cost here for a 4 never mind a 4s). Launched the App and asked my first question. Biff, Bang, Whollop and my answer was, “I’m really sorry. Due to overwhelming demand my servers are overloaded. My creators are working flat out to resolve this issue and we hope to have it resolved in the near future”.
I’ve been trying to use Evi all day, but keep getting server errors, but I’m not giving up hope. Apple’s servers for Siri were also having issues when the iPhone 4S was released due to heavy traffic, but now works like a charm.
